EXCERPT:

Nin knew how much humans loved money, riches, and material things -- though he never really could understand why. The more technologically advanced the human species got, the more isolated they seemed to become, at the same time. It was alarming, how humans could spend entire lifetimes engaged in all kinds of activities, without getting any closer to knowing who they really were, inside.

Mad Hatter - final version

Mad Hatter - final version

Final version of Mad Hatter - for the fashion magazine category.

In the Mad Hatter development set you see the original photo, my 2nd version after advice from Karl to add saturation and black color to portraits and this is my 3d version after advice from Bananahead on correcting the skin tone and brightening the eyes. I prefer this version to original since this brings the character more alive and the whole look is more professional.

The original photo was taken on a weekend trip to Hamburg. There I had a surprise encounter with Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland and asked if I could take a picture. That was more than welcome so I had time to adjust my settings and try different angles and this is the best shot from that series of pictures.
The picture is taken on 17-55mm f2.8 lens with 55mm, aperture priority f2.8 and ISO 250.
